Amazon has launched a new delivery service that it says is designed to make its Kindle books cheaper and faster to the Japanese people.
The Japanese e-reader giant is launching a delivery service dubbed “Amazon’s Kindle Book Delivery Express” (Amazon Kindle Book Express) in partnership with J&C Books and Bookmark, two Japanese online book stores.
The service is a new way for the Japanese online retailer to deliver its books in a more convenient manner.
Amazon is offering Kindle books for just $9.99, or ¥3,094, or 1.1 percent cheaper than regular book prices, which means it’s cheaper to order from Amazon than Amazon’s competitor, Google Books.
The new service comes with the ability to order books from Japan’s Amazon.co.jp website, which currently sells Amazon’s most popular titles, such as “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “The Hunger Games,” “Harry Potter” and “The Hobbit.”
It also offers a range of Kindle titles for the Chinese-language Kindle store, which Amazon has yet to launch.
The service, which will start shipping to customers in October, comes in two editions, one with the standard delivery method, and one with Amazon’s new Amazon Kindle Book delivery service.
Customers will receive the new service free of charge and will not have to pay a monthly fee to access the service.
The first edition will be available for orders starting from October 3, while the second will be released on October 18.
Amazon declined to disclose how many orders were made during the first week of availability.
The company said the service will allow Japanese customers to access books that have not been available in the country for more than a month.
The company’s Kindle Books service has been available only in Japan for the past several months, and customers are being asked to contact the company to request that they be added to the service at no extra charge.
The book delivery company is also offering a new Kindle Book service to its customers that has been free for the last six months.
The “Amazon Kindle Books” service is available in Japan.
