Uber will give its drivers a free Uberx ride during the first month of the UberX service, the company announced Wednesday.
The offer is part of Uber’s push to encourage people to sign up for its new self-driving car program, which has grown rapidly in recent months.
The company also said that the Uberx service is available in cities where Uber is not yet available, including San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.
The company said it plans to start offering the Uber ride program in California and Nevada by the end of June.
