Amazon is rolling out Prime Video to select customers in January, but customers will still need to register and use the same delivery app to get their Prime video.
Prime Video was a big hit for Amazon when it first launched, with customers paying $99 per year for unlimited access to video and movies.
But Prime Video has since lost out to Netflix and Hulu Plus.
Today, Amazon announced it will be launching a Prime Video app for Windows 10, Android, iOS, and Amazon Echo smart speaker, which customers can sign up for free.
Prime is Amazon’s subscription video service that allows customers to watch TV, movies, and video games through its Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV remote, and access them through an Amazon app.
Customers can also access their video via Amazon Instant Video, Amazon’s video streaming service.
Amazon Prime subscribers get $99 to watch Prime videos and get access to Prime Music, a curated music library, a Prime membership, and more.
Amazon Prime Video will be available for free for subscribers in the US and Canada on January 1, 2017.
Customers will be able to sign up on the Amazon App Store and in the app for free to get access in their regions, according to Amazon.
