By now you’ve probably heard the story about how the new Chevy Bolt EV, the electric car that is the first to go into production in the United States, was delayed because the US government wanted to do its own testing.
This is because, the company claims, it would be impossible to test a car in its production phase and so it would have to wait for a full production run.
This, it seems, is how the US Government operates.
But, is it true?
And how do we know it’s not just a government lie?
Here’s what we do know: US car manufacturers have had to delay deliveries of their electric cars in the past because of a shortage of parts for them.
And, in the case of the Bolt EV and the Tesla Model 3, the reason is because of regulatory concerns.
In fact, the Bolt’s battery is supposed to be ready by 2022, according to the company’s website.
However, that’s just a matter of time, because it’s an “extended production run” that could take as long as three years.
This means, for example, that if a new production line is built to accommodate the car, it will be ready to go in 2019, rather than 2022.
But it’s important to note that the US has a very specific timetable for its electric car, which makes the delay unlikely.
So, if the government had wanted to test the Bolt in 2019 (and if that’s the case), it could have done so without the need to wait until 2022.
This would have meant that if you bought the Bolt, the car would have arrived in 2020 and you could then take delivery of it, rather then 2019.
This is not to say that US car makers are not testing their electric vehicles.
Indeed, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is actually in the process of conducting a new testing program to test new vehicles for potential safety issues.
However this process has not yet started, and so the Bolt and Model 3 won’t be ready until 2021.
So, there you have it: the Bolt has been delayed to 2019, and it will arrive in 2020.
That means that if your car was originally ordered in 2021, it’s unlikely that it’ll arrive until 2022, or in some other year.
But it’s also possible that the Bolt will arrive before 2019.
That would be fine, if it’s a full-scale production car, as we know that Bolt is.
And, because the Bolt is an extended production run, it could theoretically be sold as early as 2021, if all goes well.
In other words, there is no reason why it can’t arrive in 2019.
But, it might still be a while before the Bolt arrives.
If it does arrive, it won’t arrive until 2021, so there’s no guarantee that the car will be able to go on sale.
What you need to know about electric carsSo, if you’re thinking that the NHTSA testing program has been successful and that Bolt will go on-sale in 2021 and the Bolt should be ready in 2019 – it may be worth wondering what will happen if the car doesn’t arrive before 2021.
There are two possibilities here:The first is that the Model 3 will be sold before 2019, because all the tests that the government is conducting are for a different car, and the government has delayed the Bolt to allow the company to test its new production car.
In this scenario, the NHSSA testing project would still be successful and the new car would be ready, but the Bolt wouldn’t have arrived until 2021 anyway.
If the government delays the Bolt until 2021 then the car could still be sold by 2021, but it might not be ready for public consumption.
In the second scenario, though, the new production Model 3 could be delayed because it might be sold to Tesla as early or late as 2021.
But Tesla is unlikely to be a buyer of the Model X until at least 2021, and because the government’s testing program is likely to have been successful, the Model S is likely not to be sold until 2021 or 2022.
The NHTS is currently conducting testing of the Tesla Autopilot, a feature that is supposed the Bolt can use to take control of itself when it encounters a problem.
So far, there are no plans to roll out this feature to the Bolt.
So this would mean that the new Model 3 wouldn’t arrive for the 2019 launch, or until 2021 at the latest.
